Yo, dude, in Rat Climber, your only goal is to reach the top of the world, bro! You gotta navigate some gnarly vertical mazes and make crazy jumps, but watch out, bro – one slip-up and you’re gonna tumble down like a ragdoll.

Just so you know, dude, you don’t actually ragdoll when you fall; you can control Ratty and maybe save some of your progress. I just think this old GIF is funny bro.

So, you’ll just be climbing and exploring. There aren’t hundreds of collectibles like other platformers, but hey, you might find a secret cheese piece in each world, and who knows, something cool might happen if you find ’em all, yo.

If you see a small hole or ledge, you can probably walk on it or fit inside, buddy. You gotta think like a rat, not just a regular platformer player, to get through these vertical worlds. You may also be interested in the game Himegashima Island.

There aren’t any power-ups or extra moves, just three controls: Jump, dash, and walk. Dashing helps you jump farther and a bit higher, while walking gives you precise movement so you don’t walk off ledges, bro.

If you fall, there’s a chance you can recover some progress because each zone stacks above the last one, and you can still control Ratty in the air, but it’s not a sure thing.
