You are at Mars Site-113 which used to be one of our biggest places for studying and keeping strange and dangerous things safe. But something really bad happened on Earth—something called the Near-Extinction Event (NEE). We don’t know exactly what, but it was terrible. The dangerous things we brought here to keep safe have escaped, and things are really bad now.
