OVERVIEW
Side Effects is a tense, turn-based game where you have to take different pills and hope you survive longer than the person sitting across from you. Every round, you get a set of pills, but you don’t know which ones are good, bad, or instantly deadly. Each pill changes your resistance, and if your resistance drops to zero, you die. The only way to win is to stay alive longer than your opponent.
Between rounds, you can pick special experimental items and treatments that might help you, like vaccines or tools that stop you from swallowing too much. But you’re not the only one trying to survive. The other patient is trying to outlive you and will bluff, change tactics, and use anything they can just to stay alive one pill longer.
