Game Overview

Small Wars: Mohicans is the first game in the Small Wars series, and it's all about the French and Indian War in the 1700s. It's based on this old-school Canadian board game called Mohawk from 1983. The game kicks off in 1754 and goes all the way to 1760, right after the British took over Quebec, which is like a huge deal in the history of Canada.

In Mohicans, you’re stuck in the middle of this epic battle between the British and French. The British are all about their strong regular forces, trying to dominate the northeastern part of North America. The French have their own thing going, with a mix of regular troops and these crazy irregular fighters, like the famous Couriers des Bois.

You also get these militia groups and a bunch of reinforcements showing up every year, so it’s a constant back-and-forth struggle. Honestly, it feels like a massive game of Capture the Flag, but with way higher stakes and it is seriously intense. You may also be interested in the game Starsim.
