Yo dude check this out. SymbioPhobiA is this sick survival horror game that’s got a top-down view but closer than most, and itâs got everythingâaction, puzzles, exploration, and platforming. Itâs set in a future bunker thatâs all dark and creepy, and itâs gonna give you the chills. The gameâs like 3-4 hours long and itâs just the first chapter. If it gets enough hype, weâll drop the other two chapters and make this one even better, bro.
So, youâre in this dystopian future where everyoneâs stuck in bunkers because the outside worldâs all radioactive. You get sent from Colony 9 to Colony 7 because somethingâs gone wrong there. Your mission? Find out whatâs up with a genetic experiment that might help humans survive outside.
In this first chapter, you start in the water treatment plant and need to make your way to the maintenance area to gather info. The game mostly has this close top-down view, making everything feel super claustrophobic and intense. Thereâs no map, so you gotta explore dark, tight spaces and solve puzzles to get through. Sometimes, the camera will switch to a fixed angle to crank up the horror vibes.
You will need to solve puzzles, drag and drop stuff to climb or unlock new areas and keep your eyes peeled for enemies that pop up when you least expect it. Donât think you can just blast them away easily, âcause they might surprise you, dude. Collect medkits and ammo to stay alive, search for keys, and flip switches to move ahead. You start with one weapon, and youâll need to figure out how to get another one. You may also be interested in the game Suppress Academician.
The game camera is way closer than in most games, making it super immersive and forcing you to stay on high alert. There are also some fixed camera spots straight out of classic survival horror games, so expect a few jumpscares, bro.
Your character is a young girl with a unique look and youâll be up against various enemies including mutated humans and faster smarter Marauders. Plus, thereâs a final boss youâll have to tackle.
Heads up, this gameâs got intense violence blood, and gore, and might have some partial nudity. Weâre just two people working on this project in our spare time, trying to make a survival horror game with classic puzzles but with a fresh twist.
