OVERVIEW
If you’re not careful and slip out of reality in the wrong place, you’ll find yourself in the Backrooms. Endless yellow halls, damp carpets, and the constant buzzing of fluorescent lights will be all you have. Don’t bother calling for help—no one is coming. No one is left.
If you’re using the Quest, make sure to change your OpenXR settings in the Oculus app. A bug in the latest Unreal Engine update causes display glitches, but switching to Oculus OpenXR will fix it. You may also be interested in the game Simp: Leveling Up on a Dating App.
DOWNLOAD INSTRUCTIONS
- Click the Download button below and you’ll be redirected.
- Wait for 5 seconds and then click the blue ‘download now’ button to start the download.
- Once the download is complete, right-click the .zip file and choose “Extract to”The Backrooms: Mass Extinction” (You’ll need 7-Zip, available here).
- Open the game, and run the exe application.
- Enjoy playing! Remember to run the game as an administrator. If you encounter any missing DLL errors, check for a Redist or _CommonRedist folder and install all the programs it contains.
