OVERVIEW
Takumi Sumino is just a normal teenager living in a quiet part of Tokyo where nothing exciting ever happens. But everything changes when weird, scary monsters suddenly attack the town and cause chaos. Then, a strange being named Sirei shows up and tells Takumi he can get the power to protect the people he cares about—but only if he stabs himself in the chest!
The next thing Takumi knows, he wakes up in a strange school called Last Defense Academy. It’s in the middle of nowhere and surrounded by creepy, magical flames. He’s now part of a team with 14 other students called the Special Defense Unit. Their mission? Protect the school for 100 days.
