OVERVIEW

ULTRAKILL’s unfolds across levels inspired by Dante’s layers of Hell, featuring a prelude and three acts. Each act contains layers, with the last level focusing on a boss, notably the Archangel Gabriel.

Players wield six weapons, including a revolver, shotgun, nailgun, railcannon, rocket launcher, and a powerful left arm. There are types and forms of these weapons, which bring variety to combat situations. Performing combos and stylish actions builds a style meter with eight ranks, from Destructive to ULTRAKILL.

One of the aspects of the game is the ability to regenerate health by absorbing the blood of wounded enemies. You can do this by causing damage defeating enemies or successfully parrying their attacks. However, certain factors like enemies covered in sand or underwater kills can affect blood absorption. Players need to manage “hard damage,” which temporarily reduces their maximum health, with stylish gameplay helping mitigate its impact.
