OVERVIEW
Unknown Host is a short, first-person psychological horror experience with a linear narrative and an average playtime of 30–40 minutes. You play as Alex, a student seeking comfort and independence in a new city. The apartment he rents appears perfectly ordinary at first—clean, quiet, and reasonably priced. But something about it feels… off. And the deeper Alex settles in, the more that unsettling feeling grows.
Blending walking simulator mechanics with light exploration and interaction Unknown Host focuses on atmosphere tension and storytelling. Every creak of the floorboards and flicker of the lights builds toward an eerie, oppressive sense of dread. It is a compact but haunting experience designed to pull players into its mysterious world’s and leave them questioning what is real long after it ends.
