Dude, check this out: Vivat Slovakia is this epic open-world game set in Slovakia, a new democratic country on the border of Western and Eastern Europe. It’s the wild 90s, bro. The old communist ways are still hanging around, the state enforcement is weak, and corruption is everywhere. Money and violence rule the streets.

Mob gangs run the show, and they are not shy about showing their power, even in broad daylight. It is all about racketeering car bombs and other hardcore ways of settling scores. Some government elites even use these gangs for their dirty work.

Back home, we say, “You don’t have what you don’t steal.” The lines between the Secret Service and organized crime are totally blurred. Everyone is working together to get money and power. For regular people, connections are everything if you want to get ahead.

This is not your typical gangster open-world game. You play as a bald dude in his 30s working for the secret police. You’re undercover as a taxi driver, so you can roam the town and keep tabs on people up close. You may also be interested in the game Break The Loop.

The game map of Bratislava covers about 10 km² of a bustling city. Vivat Slovakia has over 20 story missions based on real events from the 90s after Slovakia split from the Czechoslovak Federation.

The game has a professional Slovak voice-over with the main character voiced by Marián Labuda. There are English subtitles for Erasmus participants and immigrants from the Iron Curtain period.

There are over 30 unique period vehicles inspired by real-life cars, from old socialist clunkers to fancy imports only the bosses could afford. Plus, there are more than 5 local weapons. In Slovakia, the tough guys don’t use baseball bats—they use telescopic batons.

Experience the Slavic open world from the perspective of a secret police officer. Vivat Slovakia was made possible through successful crowdfunding. Players will have mini-stories in the game or appear as NPCs around Bratislava.

Real businesses and homes of our players are transformed into the game, making for some cool product placement. The game features LFO radio with period music created by DJs and speakers from radio _FM Yanko Kral and Subtension. There’s also talk radio from stand-up comedians from Silné Reči and the option to create your own custom radio station.

In collaboration with the dog shelter Sloboda Zvierat, you can choose your own four-legged buddy from 14 different breeds in the game. Get ready for some serious Slavic action, bro.
