OVERVIEW
When Nazi Germany attacked the Soviet Union in June 1941, they thought it would be an easy win. But instead, they faced years of harsh and deadly fighting on the bloodiest front of World War II. The war only ended when millions of Soviet soldiers pushed back and destroyed the German plan for a “1000-year” empire. Their invasion failed, and the Soviet Union’s strength brought the German army to its final collapse.
Out of the terrible battles of Operation Barbarossa came the Soviet Guards—some of the toughest and most skilled soldiers in the whole war. This second Elite Campaign of the 1st Guards brings Panzer Corps 2 its first Soviet campaign, letting players experience the Soviet Union’s struggle against the German army during World War II.
