OVERVIEW
The Remains of Dahlia drops you into the shoes of a husband desperate to find out what really happened to his wife. Dahlia vanished without a trace, and the cops hit a dead end. So, Bowo—the husband—takes matters into his own hands. It’s a first-person psychological horror game, but it’s not about jump scares or monsters. You’re digging for the truth, trying to make sense of the fear that creeps in as you poke around for answers.
Everything unfolds in the early 2010s. Dahlia, just an ordinary housewife, steps out one day and never comes back. Bowo calls the police, but nothing comes of it. No one can help him, so he starts searching himself. Most of the time, you’re wandering through a cramped house and the eerily quiet neighborhood around it, somewhere tucked away in Indonesia. The whole thing looks like it’s shot on an old camcorder—grainy, jittery, and strangely real. It’s like you’re trapped inside a true-crime documentary, except you’re the one trying to solve the mystery. And yeah, it gets under your skin. You may also be interested in the game Blueman.
