The story kicks off with a prologue called Return Home. It feels a lot like a visual novel—you’re not just watching, you’re right in the middle of things. One thing that stands out: your only weapon is the humble red bean. People used to believe red beans could keep evil spirits away, and here, that’s all you’ve got. By the eighth day, you even get to toss red bean bombs.

Way back, a terrifying demon with a hundred faces fooled people and led them down dark paths. An exorcist named Biundam tried to stop it. He failed—and died making a seal that was barely strong enough to hold the demon back. Because of that, the demon still manages to reach into the world, just a bit. The story follows So-eun, an ordinary high school girl, who winds up tangled in the demon’s trap. You may also be interested in the game Tales of Torment.
