OVERVIEW
You’re a young guy, and your grandmother’s old—really old. She lives by herself in this crumbling apartment that used to feel inviting, but now it’s just empty and tired. The rest of the family? They stopped visiting ages ago. The doctors say she’s losing her memory. So you move in. Maybe it’s guilt. Maybe you’re hoping the place will end up yours. Hard to say.
At first, life settles into a routine. You hand her her pills, eat dinner together, get used to the stale, dusty smell that never quite goes away. But then things shift. She starts looking at you like you’re a total stranger, or sometimes like you’re someone she hasn’t seen in years. At night, you catch footsteps—quiet, shuffling—coming from behind the wall.
