OVERVIEW
The North DLC for Drop Duchy throws you right into Viking-inspired battles. Every game mode lets you mess around with new tactics—go for heavier attacks, raid buildings for better loot, and see what works. The combat feels fresh this time. Instead of lining up and fighting one at a time, your squads square off against their own enemies all at once. So you can’t just lump your troops together and hope for the best. You’ve got to split them up, cover your flanks, and actually think about where everyone goes.
Resources are still key, but snagging them isn’t easy. You can raid buildings for a big haul, but as soon as you do, that building disappears from your deck. When your base is under threat, the new Fury ability kicks in—your people get tougher, ready to hit back harder. If you lose ground one round, you’ll get more units in the next, giving you a shot at a comeback. There’s real risk here, but if you play it smart and survive the fallout, the rewards are worth it.
