OVERVIEW
Relief is a deckbuilding roguelike that drops you into a world shaped by what happened after Journey to the West. You play as the Green Bull Demon’s heir—the Azure Ox, newly awakened and ready to make your own name. Along your journey, you’ll collect cards, hunt for artifacts, and put together clever strategies to handle tough battles and unexpected encounters.
You get to pick from five distinct spirits, each with a totally different vibe and playstyle. Lu Wei, for example, takes those annoying status cards and flips them into useful cards with surprise effects. Then there’s Cui Beibei, whose team of cat spirits jump in to help during fights—adorable and deadly. The Chechi Rocket Team shakes things up by letting you swap between tiger, deer, and goat captains mid-combat, so you can adjust your tactics on the fly. A.Lian rewards brains over brawn, giving you a special card fusion system that pays off when you set your cards up just right. You may also be interested in the game Dimhaven – The Lost Source.
